Sustainable production of biochar utilizing invasive species and crop residue as inputs

Creation of a Village Level Entrepreneurship programme providing long-term employment and income

Soil regeneration opportunities for local farmers and purchasers of biochar

Working with forest communities in Orissa and Andhra Pradesh in partnership with the Foundation for Ecological Security (FES) to:

Assess and verify carbon storage capacity arising from their stewardship of the commons

Initiate carbon credit programmes for the benefit of local communities

Building analytical frameworks for the creation and valuation of carbon credits based on standards established by International registries and India’s Carbon Credit Trading Scheme (CCTS)
